Ghaziabad crematorium roof collapse: NSA to be imposed against engineer, contractor | Ghaziabad News – Times of India

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has issued directions to impose National Security Act against the engineer and contractor of the Muradnagar crematorium where a roof collapse on Sunday claimed at least 25 lives.
On Tuesday, the CM said that the losses in the incident would be recovered from the engineer and contractor and also gave directions to blacklist the contractor.
Notice has also been issued to Ghaziabad DM, asking why no action was taken by him when the CM in September had given specific directions to review all projects worth more than Rs 60 lakh for quality control. On Monday, the CM had set up an enquiry to determine the role of the district administration and senior divisional officials in the incident.
The CM had announced an ex-gratia compensation of Rs 10 lakh for families of each of the deceased and houses for those who do not have one.
