Farmer commits suicide at Delhi’s Singhu border | Amritsar News – Times of India


BATHINDA: 40-year-old farmer. Amarinder Singh, of village Mashrai in Punjab’s Fatehgarh Sahib district committed suicide at the Singhu border on Saturday evening.
The farmer consumed some poisonous substance at the backside of the main stage and came at the front of the stage when it was being closed for the day. He collapsed before the stage. The Samyukt Morcha leader Baldev Singh Sirsa took the farmer to a private hospital where he breathed his last.
Sirsa said the farmer died at the hospital and more details are being collected.
Earlier, Sant Ram Singh and another farmer had committed suicide at Delhi borders.
