Exclusive! Rahul Roy discharged from hospital – Times of India

Rahul Roy is back home. The ‘Aashiqui’ actor who suffered a brain stroke last month is out of Mumbai’s Wockhardt Hospital at Mira Road. ETimes has it that Rahul was discharged this evening.

Confirming the news, Rahul’s brother-in-law Romneer Sen said, “Yes, Rahul is out of the hospital. He is delighted to be back home. His physio and speech therapy will continue. It will take quite some time but he should be back to being as fine as before by around 6-7 months.”

Rahul had a stroke in the fourth week of November 2020 while he was shooting in Kargil for Nitin Kumar Gupta‘s digital film Rahul plays a Colonel in ‘LAC- Live The Battle’. The ‘Bigg Boss’ Season 1 winner has a role extending to about 6 scenes. He was first brought to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital from where he was shifted after a few days.

Added Romneer, who with Rahul’s sister Priyanka has firmly stood by him in his period of convalescence, “It has been a tough 45 days, more so for Rahul than us. He was brave enough to take the treatment and fight it out. We are with him and pray for his best.”
